Our Mission

Freedom is not free, there is a price that was paid and continues to be paid for this country’s freedom. The men and women who serve and protect the U.S. come from all walks of life and are an important part of their communities. We want to help educate senior wartime Veterans and their widows on some of the benefits they may be eligible to receive.

What is available?

The Department of Veterans Affairs offers several benefits to Veterans. Navigating the VA’s website can sometimes be confusing. Listed below are are just a few of the many benefits Veterans are asking about.

Health Care

The Military Health System provides care for members, retirees, and dependents. Check out the official site for Military Health System for more information.

VA Loans to Refinance, buy, or IMPROVE a home

The VA offers home loans and grants. These programs help service members, veterans, and surviving spouses buy, refinance, or modify their home. The VA guarantees part of the loan, meaning they will cover a portion of the loan if you default.

Burial Flags

A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to lay over the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased Veteran who served honorably in the United States Armed Forces.

Funeral and Death Benefits for Veteran

There are burial benefits for U.S. veterans and dependents from the Department of Veterans Affairs. See the National Cemetery Administration for more information.

Aid & Attendance benefit

The Aid & Attendance is a non-service connected monthly pension for wartime veterans and their widows that helps offset the cost of long-term care such as assisted living care, skilled nursing care, or home care. This is a tax-free pension from the Department of Veterans affairs that pays the Veteran or surviving spouse directly if you need on going care from another person.
